Transfer calls

You may transfer calls to both on-campus and off-campus numbers.  

Transfer a call

  1. Answer the call.
  2. Press the  . . . soft key button twice, press the Transfer soft key, then dial the number for where you want to transfer the call.
  3. Wait for the other party to answer:
    • If they answer, announce you are transferring a call, press the Transfer soft key again, then hang up.
    • If they are unavailable, press the EndCall soft key, then press the Resume soft key to return to the original caller.

Transfer a call directly to another person’s voicemail

  1. Answer the call.
  2. Press the  . . .  soft key button twice, press the Transfer soft key.
  3. Enter *98 immediately followed by the 7 digit phone number. For example, *986453333.
  4. Press the Transfer soft key again to complete the call.  

Common questions

Can I block the displayed number of a transferred call?

No. Calls transferred to another VoIP phone show the forwarded number. Calls transferred to non-VoIP phones show the originating number.

Can I transfer a call by searching the Corporate Directory and selecting the entry?

No.
