President Satish Tripathi has been named the Mid-American Conference’s representative to the NCAA Board of Directors. The appointment was made at the MAC Council of President’s meeting held recently in Cleveland.

Tripathi replaces former Ohio ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ President Roderick J. McDavis, who served in the role for the past four years and who retired from Ohio ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ earlier this year.

“It is an honor to have been appointed to this important role in the Mid-American Conference, and I very much look forward to serving as a liaison between the MAC and the NCAA,” Tripathi said. “I am committed to helping develop and shape policies that will promote the best interests of all student-athletes across the MAC, and to using this role to enhance every aspect of our MAC student-athletes’ academic and athletic experiences.”
