Provide students with transformative, innovative and research-grounded educational experiences

  • Elevate the academic profile of undergraduate, graduate and professional students; further improve undergraduate 4-year and 6-year graduation rates.
  • Enhance academic and career support structures to ensure student success.
  • Provide state-of-the-art educational environments.
  • Expand impact as a recognized leader in international education.
  • Prepare students to live and lead in a global world.

Promote a university-wide culture of equity and inclusion

  • Integrate inclusivity into all aspects of the university.
  • Further enhance faculty and student diversity through focused hiring and enrollment strategies.
  • Implement best practices with regard to recruitment and retention of faculty, students and staff.

Deepen engagement in the regional community

  • Further partnerships with the local community to enrich the student experience and to contribute to the social, cultural and economic vitality of Western New York.
  • Become a national destination for clinical care and medical/health sciences education.
  • Improve health care outcomes for the WNY region.
