Wednesday evening, following a protest this afternoon on North Campus, 15 individuals — including some students and other individuals not affiliated with UB — were arrested.

Protestors removed tents after they were advised of UB policy prohibiting indoor and outdoor encampments. 蜜桃传媒 Police and Student Life have also informed protestors that they need to disperse by dusk and no overnight assemblies are allowed.  

UB recognizes and respects students’ right to protest, and expects that protests occur lawfully in public spaces.

The Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at UB supports salary increases and improvements to the educational and working conditions for its medical residents.

UB officials will continue to monitor the weather and update the campus community.
