During Sunday’s commencement ceremony for the College of Arts and Sciences, a graduating senior ignored multiple directives, ran away from officers, and broke commencement rules by bringing an infant onto the commencement stage.
Regarding the protest that occurred on May 1, 2024, and protesters’ attempted encampment on university grounds, the university publicly described in previous statements why arrests were made under existing policy at the time.
UB Police arrested a student today for making a threatening post on social media directed at people participating in an on-campus march this afternoon organized by the UB chapter of the Jewish Student Union.
UB took proative measures, including building and road closures, to ensure the safety of the university community and to protect university operations.
