The American Association of ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Women (AAUW) has a diverse set of fellowships and grants for women pursuing research, certificates or advanced degrees. Some campus initiatives may be eligible for our community grants. There is also a new publication grant for engineering, medicine and science. The goal is to advance gender equity for women and girls through research, education and advocacy.

The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship is awarded to sophomores and juniors who have outstanding potential and intend to pursue advanced degrees in STEM.

The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship offers grants for students of limited financial means to pursue academic studies or credit-bearing, career-oriented internships abroad. Award amounts will vary depending on the length of study and student need.

The Boren Scholarship provides funding to U.S. undergraduate students to study abroad in areas of the world that are critical to U.S. interests and underrepresented in study abroad. The award is for a period of one semester or one academic year and includes $8,000 for a summer program (special initiative for STEM students only; eight weeks minimum), $10,000 for a semester and $20,000 for a full academic year.

The Critical Language Scholarship Program (CLS) is a fully-funded overseas language and cultural immersion program for American undergraduate and graduate students. Programs range from seven to 10 weeks, beginning in early to mid-June with a pre-departure orientation in the U.S.

Gates Cambridge offers full-cost scholarships to outstanding applicants from countries outside the U.K. to pursue a postgraduate degree in any subject available at the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ of Cambridge.

The Truman Scholarship seeks juniors with exceptional leadership potential who are committed to careers in government, the nonprofit or advocacy sectors, education or elsewhere in the public service. The scholarship supports graduate or professional study, leadership training and fellowship with other scholars who are committed to making a difference through public service.

The Marshall scholarship enables students to study a wide range of subjects for an advanced degree at any of Britain’s universities and business schools. Funding is for one or two years of graduate study in any field at participating universities.

The National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP) awards three-year fellowships for graduate study in mathematical, physical, biological, engineering, and behavioral and social sciences. This fellowship carries a stipend of $37,000 per year plus tuition waivers and fees for three years.

Rhodes Scholarships are for young leaders of outstanding intellect and character who are motivated to engage with global challenges and are committed to the service of others. Administered by the Rhodes Trust in Oxford, the program offers over 100 fully-funded scholarships each year for postgraduate study at the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ of Oxford in the United Kingdom—one of the world’s leading universities.

The Udall Undergraduate Scholarship is for juniors and sophomores who intend to become leaders across a wide spectrum of environmental fields, including policy, engineering, science, education, urban planning and renewal, business, health, justice and economics. The foundation also seeks future Native American and Alaskan Native leaders in public and community health care, tribal government and public policy affecting Native American communities, including land and resource management, economic development and education.
