Department of Biostatistics Scholarship Fund

Hayes Hall.

This fund provides key assistance and life-changing opportunities to underserved students.

The Department of Biostatistics Scholarship Fund offers transformative educational opportunities to UB students — including many who are the first in their families to attend college.

The department — part of the School of Public Health and Health Professions — unites statistical theories and methods with research to produce new knowledge and understanding of biological processes.

Recognized as one of the top programs in the country by U.S. News & World Report, the department is dedicated to advancing biomedical sciences and public health through scholarly activities that encompass research, education and professional and community leadership.

Scholarships support students throughout our programs, which empahsize critical and creative thinking based on principles of rigor, reproducibility, data integrity and the effective communication of science. By engaging students in relevant curriculum and research activities, we position them to become leaders of the next generation of biostatisticians.
