Environmental Brand Guidelines

Integrating the brand throughout the university's physical spaces will help us create a cohesive look and make a memorable impression on students, faculty, staff and visitors. Requests to install environmental graphics or large signage displays must be submitted for branding review, before Trademarks and Licensing approval is granted, through the form at the bottom of this page.

Before you begin:

Please review these guidelines prior to starting your environmental project, whether that’s redesigning a space or creating new graphics.

Physical Spaces

Every space should be connected to our brand in some way, whether that’s done through paint, fabrics, furniture and/or the materials used in a room. Simply embracing UB Blue or displaying the university’s logo can go a long way toward creating an inspired space that generates excitement.

Call Campus Planning at 716-645-2612 to redecorate a space, add a splash of color or create new wayfinding signage for interior or exterior visibility.

Environmental Graphics

Photography, typography, brand patterns and graphic elements are all effective ways to add visual interest to a space.

Contact ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Communications at 716-645-9196 to get started on your environmental graphics project.

Obtain Branding Approval

Artwork for all environmental graphics and large-scale signage displays must be submitted for branding approval prior to Trademarks and Licensing review through the form below. Your request will be reviewed by the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Communications brand team within 1-3 business days. Your unit's senior communicator will also be informed of the project and included on any requested changes or approval. Once branding approval is granted, final artwork proofs must be submitted for Trademarks and Licensing approval using this form.
