A good, hard look at prestressed concrete

An article in Construction Digest about prestressed concrete, a process that puts compressive stress on the concrete before it is inserted into the final structure, mentions that researchers from UB and Purdue ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½, in conjunction with bridge engineering firm Modjeski & Masters, are looking into post-tensioned concrete.
The work at UB was led by Michel Bruneau, SUNY Distinguished Professor in the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering.
