State allocates $47 million to Buffalo, Rochester for drug discovery research

An article in Business First reports on the Empire Discovery Institute, a new nonprofit created with $47 million in state funds that will take aim at research by UB, Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ at Rochester with the goal of converting scientific breakthroughs into high-tech biomedical companies.
