BUFFALO, N.Y. — The ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ remains among the top public universities in the nation, according to the latest rankings released today by U.S. News & World Report.
UB came in at No. 38 this year, making it four years in a row that UB has ranked among the top 40 public universities in the country. It’s eight consecutive years that UB has ranked among the top 50 public universities.
UB also placed No. 93 on this year’s U.S. News list of Best National Universities, both public and private.
“We are proud that UB continues to be recognized among the top universities in the nation and to positively impact the world through our research, scholarship, creative activities, education, clinical care and engagement activities,” said Provost A. Scott Weber.
The annual rankings are based on an assessment of nearly 1,900 four-year institutions using a variety of weighted educational metrics.
UB is listed several times in the online news magazine’s 2022 Best Colleges issue. In other categories, UB ranked:
UB also remains high on the list of national universities with the most international students. International students comprise 14% of the enrollment at UB.
UB is one of a number of public universities from the prestigious Association of American Universities (AAU) that are highly ranked. Others include: ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ of California, Berkeley; ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ of Michigan; The Ohio State ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½; Indiana ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½, Bloomington; Michigan State; Penn State; ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ of Wisconsin-Madison; ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ of North Carolina, Chapel Hill; Purdue; and Rutgers.
