interviewed John Crassidis about Kosmos 482, a Soviet-era spacecraft that is expected to crash return to Earth this weekend after more than 50 years in orbit. “I wouldn't change your plans. 70% of the Earth is made out of water, so most likely it's gonna land somewhere in water,” Crassidis said. “And I always like to say that you've got a much bigger chance of lightning striking you than being hit by something that's coming down from space.” Here and Now airs on more than 400 NPR member stations with an estimated five million weekly listeners.
