Voters will choose between a Democrat, Timothy Kennedy, and a Republican, Gary Dickson. Neiheisel notes in the 26th District, even a closer-than-expected win for Democrats would say something about the mood of the electorate. He said low turnout could be a sign that enthusiasm is lacking. “If Dickson is able to make it a tighter race than it is expected to be, it seems likely that Republicans would trumpet this as evidence that their party is ascendant,” he said.
