The UB Alumni Association will honor alumni and friends who have brought distinction to the university at the 2018 UBAA Achievement Awards program to be held Oct. 12 in the Center for the Arts on the North Campus.
The ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ will recognize 12 distinguished alumni at the UB Alumni Association Achievement Awards ceremony to be held at Oct. 12 in the UB Center for the Arts.
UB was recognized for its ability to generate its own green power thanks to the Solar Strand, SteelWinds and other efforts, as well as its leadership of the Localizing Buffalo’s Renewable Energy Future initiative.
A child-care award from a European neuroscience association allowed a faculty member--one of 29 scientists from 15 countries--to attend an important scientific meeting in her field.
The ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ is the No. 1 public university in the state, according to the 2019 Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Ranking, which rates UB 28th among public colleges nationally.
Several ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ schools and departments were ranked within the top 100 institutions in their field worldwide in the 2018 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects by the Shanghai Ranking Consultancy.
