Multidisciplinary UB research group awarded quarter million dollars from DEC to assess and improve tire recycling.

Michael Glick, professor of oral diagnostic sciences in the UB School of Dental Medicine, received the 2020 Distinguished Dental Editor Award from the American Association of Dental Editors & Journalists and the American Dental Association.

His innovative research spans an array of fields including artificial vision, artificial neural networks, optoelectronics and integrated sensor systems.

Four UB professors have been elected fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the world's largest general scientific society and publisher of the journal Science.

UB awarded $2 million NSF grant to advance sorting methods, and develop processing technologies to make discarded plastic easier to reuse.
