Respiratory infections and lung disease, especially in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and lung infections, such as bronchitis and pneumonia

Sanjay Sethi can discuss serious lung diseases and respiratory infections in the critically ill as well as the respiratory effects of smoking and vaping.

Considered one of the nation’s top chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) researchers, he has conducted pioneering research on bacterial infections in this disease and how to treat them. He has helped test and develop new therapeutics for COPD and served as a consultant on the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease guidelines.
