Katie Naughton

Katie's dissertation research is on autotheoretical work and theorizations of opacity and transparency in experimental poetry by women, and includes chapters on Lisa Robertson, Bernadette Mayer, and Mei-Mei Berssenbrugge. Archival research in support of the dissertation has been supported by grants from the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Graduate Student Association, the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ of California - San Diego library, a Yale ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½’s Beinecke Library Graduate Student Fellowship, and a Fulbright Canada graduate student research fellow at Simon Fraser ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½. Her poetry has been published in Fence, Bennington Review, Colorado Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, and elsewhere, including in Polish translation in Wizje. She is the author of a full length poetry collection, The Real Ethereal (Delete Press, forthcoming 2024) and two poetry chapbooks (Study, above/ground press, 2021; A Second Singing, Dancing Girl Press, forthcoming 2023). She is at work on a second poetry manuscript titled Debt Ritual. She is also the founding editor of Etcetera, an online journal of poetry and poetics; an editor at Essay Press; and an editor and project manager at the HOW(ever) and How2 Digital Archive Project.
